ETHICS COMMISSION RE-ELECTS BROWN AS CHAIRMAN

At its meeting on January 17, 2007, the Ohio Ethics Commission unanimously re-elected Sarah Brown, of Alliance, Ohio, as its Chairman. Ms. Brown has served on the Commission since 2001. She is a former Alliance City Council member and former Alliance School Board member.

Dr. Robert Browning of Worthington, Ohio was elected Vice-Chairman. Dr. Browning is professor emeritus of The Methodist Theological School in Ohio and has served on the Commission since 2000.

The Ohio Ethics Commission is an independent state agency that applies and administers the Ethics Law for state and local public officials and employees outside of the General Assembly and judiciary. The Commission was created more than 30 years ago, with the enactment of the Ohio Ethics Law in 1973.
