ETHICS COMMISSION ELECTS TRACEY AS CHAIR

At its meeting on January 11, 2008, the Ohio Ethics Commission unanimously elected Ann Marie Tracey, of Cincinnati, Ohio, as its Chair. Ms. Tracey has served on the Commission since 2004. Ms. Tracey is an Assistant Professor of Legal Studies for the Williams College of Business at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a retired Judge on the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas.

Commission member Ben Rose of Lima, Ohio was elected Vice-Chair. Mr. Rose is a former member of the Ohio House of Representatives and has a private law practice. Mr. Rose has served on the Commission since 2006.

The Ohio Ethics Commission is an independent state agency that applies and administers the Ethics Law for state and local public officials and employees outside of the General Assembly and judiciary. The Commission was created more than 30 years ago, with the enactment of the Ohio Ethics Law in 1973.
